Today, Google announced that users of the app will have access to AI-powered features in Google Photos without requiring a subscription.
The features under discussion are Portrait Light, Photo Unblur, and Magic Eraser.
The event is scheduled to start on May 15, conveniently right after Google's annual developer conference. As is customary with Google, we can expect the release to be a few weeks after that. Furthermore, Google has revealed that the three functionalities mentioned earlier will also be supported by additional devices, including Pixel tablets.
Last year, Google unveiled the magnificent Magic Editor for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro. With its unparalleled generative AI capabilities, this revolutionary tool enables users to effortlessly make sophisticated adjustments using simple gestures. Whether you desire to shift the subject's location or enhance the color of the sky, the Magic Editor grants you the power to weave your creative vision into reality. And that's not all - this exclusive feature is now available for unlimited usage on all Pixel devices, allowing you to bring your imagination to life to its fullest potential.
Additionally, each Google Photos user on iOS and Android will now receive 10 Magic Editor saves per month. To exceed this limit, a Pixel device or a Premium Google One subscription with a minimum of 2TB of storage is required.
