Oracle unveils new supply chain and finance AI capabilities

Oracle introduces generative AI capabilities to its Fusion Cloud Applications Suite, enhancing business workflows across finance, supply chain, HR, sales, marketing, and service.

Oracle has enhanced its Fusion Cloud Applications Suite with new generative artificial intelligence (AI) features. In a news statement, the software provider stated that the most recent AI developments include new generative AI features integrated into current business processes in the areas of finance, supply chain, HR, sales, marketing, and service. According to the statement, the deployment also includes extending the extensibility framework of Oracle Guided Journeys to enable partners and customers to integrate more generative AI capabilities.

Because Oracle's cloud infrastructure is used in the development of the product, the business guarantees that customer data is neither viewed by other customers nor shared with large language model (LLM) suppliers. Furthermore, according to the corporation, only a single customer is permitted to employ custom models that were developed using its data. Role-based security, which only suggests content that end users are authorized to view, is seamlessly integrated into Oracle Fusion Applications workflows to further protect critical data.

The launch coincides with generative AI's emerging ability to transform how businesses and individuals interact with computers in the workplace, as PYMNTS noted earlier this week in an analysis of research results from the PYMNTS "AI Effect" series. Additionally, the paper points out that generative AI may automate repetitive operations and use data to make better decisions faster and with a wider range of applications than previous AI models.
