The cooperation between Air France-KLM and Etihad Airways now includes loyalty program reciprocity. The statement includes a interline agreement of more than 60 routes.

Reciprocity in loyalty programs is now an element of the partnership between Air France-KLM and Etihad Airways.

Following the signing of a statement of collaboration in September for a more comprehensive codeshare and interline agreement that currently spans more than 60 routes, the three carriers; Air France, KLM and Etihad Airways made this change.

Members of the Flying Blue and Etihad Guest loyalty programs can now accrue and redeem miles in either program when traveling on Air France, KLM, or Etihad as part of the new agreement. According to the carriers, elite members would receive reciprocal advantages "soon."

Angus Clarke, the executive vice president and chief commercial officer of Air France-KLM, stated that they are pleased to deepen their partnership with Etihad Airways. On behalf of their international customers, they are now currently seeking to expand their route network and look into the possibility of gaining customer loyalty after eleven years of collaboration.

In October, Air France started operating a daily direct flight from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris to Abu Dhabi International Airport. On the other hand, Etihad offers daily flights from Abu Dhabi to Amsterdam Schiphol and Paris Charles de Gaulle.
