OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra brings gaming-focused features, including a 165Hz display, 8,600mAh battery, and dedicated controller, targeting high-performance mobile gamers.
OnePlus is building momentum ahead of the launch of its next gaming focused smartphone, the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, set to launch in China on April 28. In the days leading up to the event, the company has been steadily revealing details, giving users a clear picture of what to expect.
The Ace 6 Ultra is being positioned as a high-performance device built for mobile gamers. One of its standout additions is a dedicated gaming controller, designed as a case with four rear-mounted buttons. It supports a 1,000Hz polling rate and includes ergonomic grips, a USB Type-C port, and even a built-in gaming antenna for more stable connectivity during gameplay.
Alongside the controller, OnePlus will also introduce a 40W Super Ice Point Magnetic Cooler, aimed at keeping the device from overheating during extended gaming sessions.
At the core of the smartphone is the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, paired with a 165Hz refresh rate display for smoother visuals. The phone is also expected to support up to 165 fps gaming on select titles, strengthening its gaming-first approach.
Battery performance appears to be another key focus. The Ace 6 Ultra will feature a large 8,600mAh battery with 120W fast charging. According to the company, just 10 minutes of charging can deliver up to two hours of gameplay, while a full charge could support around seven hours of continuous gaming.
The device also includes an Oppo-developed energy management chip designed to improve battery efficiency and lifespan, especially in extreme conditions.
Other confirmed features include a 50MP main camera, up to IP69K-rated dust and water resistance, and a 1.5K display with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. It will run on ColorOS 16, based on Android 16.
With a mix of powerful hardware and gaming-focused accessories, Business Fortune observes OnePlus is aiming to strengthen its position in the competitive mobile gaming segment.
