Apple’s new MacBook Pro brings a touchscreen to Mac for the first time, alongside brighter visuals, faster AI processing, lighter designs, and advanced tools for creative professionals.

Apple has introduced a new MacBook Pro featuring its PROLED XDR display, tandem OLED technology and M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. Available in 14-inch and 16-inch models, the laptop brings up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness, a 10,000,000:1 contrast ratio and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The latest Apple MacBook Pro now features touch screen technology, Dynamic Island, up to 128GB of unified memory and storage up to 16TB. It will be available for pre-orders starting October 28, 2026, with deliveries beginning November 6.

Apple Introduces Tandem OLED Display Technology

This latest generation PROLED XDR screen is meant for professionals involved in photography, videography, graphic designing and many such color-dependent tasks. The dual OLED screen of this display enhances the performance in terms of brightness uniformity, gray scale accuracy and contrast ratio.

Both P3 and Adobe RGB color spaces are supported by the monitor and provide greater than 80% coverage of the Rec. 2020 color gamut. The adaptive ProMotion technology provides refresh rates ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz. An optional nano-texture coating lowers glare in bright environments.

Touchscreen and Dynamic Island Arrive on Mac

For the very first time, Apple has come up with the touchscreen technology on the MacBook Pro computer. This allows users to engage with their content, zoom in and out of pictures, move windows, draw and even use software instruments like pianos. The touchscreen sensor has been built into the screen itself to minimize lag.

The laptop comes with Dynamic Island as well for Mac users where you can use the search bar called Spotlight, Live Activities and AI-powered Siri. Users can get updates, control their music and notifications via the dynamic screen. The applications that include Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve and Blender would work great with touch screens.

M5 Pro and M5 Max Boost Professional Performance

The M5 Pro and M5 Max processors from Apple facilitate strenuous tasks such as software development, 3D rendering, AI processing and high-quality video creation. The neural accelerators within these processors facilitate AI processing, while the optimized graphics technology facilitates enhanced rendering capability.

The new MacBook Pro is also sleeker and lighter. The 14-inch laptop weighs about three pounds, while the 16-inch one weighs about four pounds. It comes with six-speaker sound that produces deep bass. It has connectivity options of Thunderbolt 5, HDMI, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and MagSafe.

Equipped with 24 hours of battery life, the capability of handling several external screens and running macOS 27, the new MacBook Pro can be considered as a portable workstation.

Thus, Business Fortune believes that Apple’s new MacBook Pro redefines professional computing by combining advanced display technology, powerful performance, and greater creative flexibility.
