Veteran entrepreneur Yash Shah has been appointed Chair of TiE Global’s Board of Trustees to strengthen chapters and empower founders worldwide.
Yash Shah has been appointed as the new Chair of the Global Board of Trustees at TiE Global, one of the biggest nonprofit organizations in the world committed to promoting entrepreneurship. With dozens of chapters spread around North America, India, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, TiE Global is an international network. The organization provides funding, education, development programs, and mentorship to entrepreneurs.
In his capacity as Chair, Shah will work closely with the Board of Trustees, chapter leaders, and foreign partners of TiE Global to increase the organization's influence and pertinence in a quickly changing entrepreneurial landscape. Shah is a seasoned business leader who has worked with the group for more than 28 years. Prior to this, he was president of TiE Boston, a chapter that received international acclaim for its community involvement and operational effectiveness. Before being elected chair, he served as trustee on the TiE Global Board.
Yash Shah is the CEO and co-founder of a product engineering and technology services company in Boston. Throughout his career, he has developed and expanded a number of profitable technology businesses. Speaking on his appointment, Shah stated, these business relationships, trust, and mentoring were crucial to my own business career. In my role as Chair, I work to improve the TiE ecosystem's quality, capacity, and effect on a worldwide scale, all the while maintaining the organization's agility, focus on founders, and strong alignment with its objective to support entrepreneurship.
Shah aims to prioritize programs that provide quantifiable results for entrepreneurs across stages and regions, along with improved chapter collaboration and disciplined governance. Former TiE Global Vice Chairman Rakesh Kamdar said he was extremely pleased to see Yash Shah take on the role of chairman. Shah is a clear, humble leader who is devoted to the TiE purpose. He is aware of the real potential of entrepreneurship, which is to improve communities and individuals along with creating businesses. He is sure that his leadership will encourage the upcoming generation of founders and increase TiE's international impact.
