The Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) partners with Krishi Direct Trade to improve the Nagaland’s entrepreneurship environment.

The Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission operating under the Investment & Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) and Krishi Direct Trade (KS Development Partners) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in an effort to improve the state's entrepreneurship ecosystem and promote the convergence of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

In order to improve the state's entrepreneurship environment, the agreement creates a two-year partnership to create organized short- and long-term strategic frameworks, and to match CSR projects with Nagaland's development priorities. Additionally, to discuss entrepreneurship growth, knowledge partnerships, and CSR networking in the state, a high-level discussion was held with Kesonyu Yhome, Finance Commissioner of Nagaland.

The Finance Commissioner gave a contextual review of Nagaland's growth trajectory in his speech, describing the economic, constitutional, and historical elements that have influenced the industrial and revenue environment of the State. Although Nagaland has abundant natural resources and strong human capital, he emphasized that structured collaborations, knowledge infusion, and significant CSR participation are necessary to unlock sustained progress.

The team was also informed by IDAN officials on the State's organized framework for CSR facilitation, which was created in 2022 CSR Conclave. Since then, IDAN has worked with more than 200 businesses, including PSUs and global conglomerates, securing significant commitments in the fields of livelihoods, education, health, and skill development. To guarantee openness, responsibility, and long-term effects, the framework includes a strong screening and independent auditing system.

Additionally, the group met with the Chairman of IDAN to discuss cooperative interventions in enterprise assistance, entrepreneurship promotion, and skill development. In order to promote inclusive and sustainable development in the State, the Government of Nagaland reassured its dedication to empowering young, encouraging entrepreneurship-led growth, and utilizing knowledge collaborations and CSR networks.
