TravClan, a B2B travel platform supported by August One, plans to use the additional funding to expand its operations in Europe, implement its VOLT tech platform, and collaborate with local travel vendors to optimize agency operations.
The recently raised funds will be utilized to launch local operations in Europe, launch its VOLT platform there, and forge alliances with European travel agencies.
The international B2B travel platform TravClan has announced plans to expand into Europe with new funding from August One, an investment group. The change coincides with the growing need from global travel agencies for technology-driven solutions to improve supply chains, operations, and distribution.
Currently, the organization provides services to more than 15,000 travel agencies in various locations. TravClan claims that demand from independent travel agencies dealing with issues like disjointed supplier networks, manual procedures, and poor margin visibility is what is driving the European expansion.
The recently raised funds will be utilized to launch local operations in Europe, launch the VOLT platform there, and form alliances with European travel vendors.
Every year, the worldwide B2B travel distribution sector brings in over USD 500 billion in reservations. Despite its scale, a large portion of the industry still uses disjointed systems and spreadsheets. TravClan presents its platform as an integrated operating layer to streamline processes and increase productivity for travel business owners.
In the past, TravClan established a presence in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and India. Over 80% of the company's income comes from its Hotels and Holidays sectors combined, indicating substantial adoption in these areas.
TravClan is investing more in VOLT, its API-first technology platform, as part of the growth. Travel agencies can handle inventory and customer journeys using a single interface thanks to VOLT, which integrates flights, hotels, vacations, and experiences into a single system.
According to Chirag Agarwal, co-founder and COO of TravClan, travel companies in Europe deal with issues including fragmented supply, manual labor, and narrow profit margins that they have resolved throughout Asia.
One of the Managing Director of August One, Sameer Narula, said that TravClan has made complicated trip planning easier by bringing together agents, suppliers, and on-site services on a single platform.
The company claims that its foray into Europe is a reflection of the growing demand for unified travel operating platforms worldwide. TravClan has grown to over USD 8 million thus far.
