EE launches a brand new refurbished phone range featuring iPhones and Samsung devices, starting from just £31 a month.
EE, a broadband and mobile provider, has introduced its new line of refurbished smartphone collection with airtime, including Samsung and iPhone models, starting at £31 a month. Each phone is examined, tested, and covered by an extended warranty from EE.
EE is known for having one of the UK’s fastest and most reliable 4G and 5G networks, making it ideal for streaming, working on the go, and travelling. When a customer buys the refurbished mobile, they can also have the option to sign up for an EE airtime contract, covering monthly mobile usage, including data, calls, and texts, and comes with several standout benefits.
A 53-point quality check is reportedly part of the gadget assessment, which checks everything from ports and speakers to camera accuracy and battery life. Additionally, each phone comes with a real charging wire in recycled EE-branded packaging.
Students who use a Flex Pay plan will receive a 40% discount on their airtime when purchasing a refurbished smartphone. For example, students might save up to £12 per month on refurbished gadget plans such as the Samsung Galaxy S24, totaling over £300 over the course of the contract.
According to Sharon Meadows, EE's MD of Marketing and Commercial, Refurbished is no longer a second choice but a mainstream now, with younger customers leading the way when it comes to thrifty and sustainable choices. Meadows also says that their new range of refurbished smartphone Flex Pay plans makes great technology accessible to more people, in a way that helps both budgets and the planet.
EE's research shows that 46% of 18-24 year olds believe they have a personal duty to decrease technological waste. At the same time, pricing remains a major factor, with 74.2% expecting businesses to assist customers in making more sustainable decisions without increasing their costs.
