Telangana Plans Trump Avenue

Hyderabad streets set to reflect international influence and the state’s growth ambitions

The Telangana government proposed on Sunday that the road leading to the US Consulate General building in Hyderabad be named after US President Donald Trump, as per government officials. Donald Trump Avenue will be the name of the high-profile road along the US Consulate General.

The state government will write to the US Delegation and the Union Ministry of External Affairs to inform them of the plans, according to a statement from the CMO.

The upcoming Greenfield radial road connecting the Nehru Outer Ring Road at Raviryal to the proposed Regional Ring Road will also be named after Padma Bhushan Ratan Tata, as announced by the state government.

The Raviryal interchange is already known as the "Tata Interchange." Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy suggested naming important roads in Hyderabad after strong international corporations during his speech at the annual US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) Conclave in Delhi last month. In line with this announcement, the state government has chosen to name an important part as "Google Street," honoring the corporation's overall contribution and the worldwide influence of Google Maps. The road leading to Google's upcoming campus, which will be the company's largest campus outside of the US, in Hyderabad's Financial District, will be named after it.

According to the CMO, these suggestions are a part of the Telangana government's aim to position the state as a representation of India's innovative nature. Also in line with the Chief Minister's vision, Microsoft and Wipro will probably be recognized in the city's topography with a Microsoft Road and a Wipro Junction. The state government has the option of naming some more roads to honor and recognize well-known individuals and corporations.

On the eve of the Telangana Rising International Summit, which will start on Monday at the future Bharat Future City close to Hyderabad, the announcements were made. The two-day event will present Telangana's huge financial possibilities. Officials say that 154 international delegates from over forty-four countries have confirmed they will attend the summit.
