HCLTech & Dolphin IoT Chips

The strategic partnership focuses on scalable, low-energy semiconductors for modern computing needs.

HCLTech and French chipmaker Dolphin Semiconductor announced a strategic partnership to develop together a new generation of energy-efficient chips designed for data center environments and Internet of Things devices. To provide scalable high-efficiency semiconductor solutions, the integration of Dolphin Semiconductor's low-power intellectual property into HCLTech's SoC design workflows is an important component of the partnership. The partnership aims to provide chips that can satisfy these changing demands as world enterprises deal with rising energy prices, increasingly complex linked ecosystems and growing sustainability standards.

Acoording to Pierre-Marie DELL'ACCIO of Dolphin Semiconductor, the partnership potential stating it will allow the company to increase the effect of its technology. Also, He added that the partnership development activities will help push the limits of energy-efficient computing across IoT and data center ecosystems and that they will be able to reach more applications and customers than ever before with their low-power intellectual property. At a time when efficiency has been recognized as a key difference the partnership shows Dolphin's goals to integrate its low-power capabilities into a larger market.

HCLTech specified the partnership supports its growing goal for semiconductor innovation. As AI workloads rise, data grows exponentially and sustainability becomes a top priority, this partnership with Dolphin Semiconductor will allow their clients to lead with agility, high performance and a strong commitment to environmental responsibility, stated Hari Sadarahalli of HCLTech focusing on the change in the world's computing needs.

After recent partnerships with AMD, Arm and CAST, the relationship greatly improves HCLTech's broader semiconductor strategy. The two companies aim to create high-performance systems that maintain energy efficiency across a variety of demanding workloads from hyperscale data centers to edge compute environments to the quickly growing network of connected IoT devices by combining HCLTech's engineering knowledge with Dolphin's expertise in ultra-low-power IP
