The new strategic action game turns cardio into immersive, habit-forming experiences on Ergatta’s networked rowing machines.
Ergatta is stepping up its position on fitness gamification with the launch of Endeavor, a new strategic action game that is now available to everyone in the brand's networked rowing ecosystem. The release is a component of Ergatta's larger effort to make cardio exercise feel more like progression than repetition.
Ergatta is known for its game-based fitness in rowing and other cardio modalities. It has developed a wide range of interactive games, studio style classes and scenic rows all over the world. With a framework that combines strategic thinking with physical intensity, Endeavor increases that collection and presents exercises as experiences rather than tasks to be completed.
In contrast with traditional interval or leaderboard-based forms, Endeavor immerses players in conflicts that take place in mystical environments. Players must modify their rowing intensity to activate particular in-game activities as they face more formidable opponents. Turning power production and pacing into strategic tools rather than passive measurements is essential to success, as is performing the proper mix of actions at the appropriate effort levels.
Endeavor is the outcome of seven years of unrelenting concentration on a single question: how do they use the power of games to make cardio machine workouts more interesting and habit-forming? Tom Aulet, CEO and co-founder of Ergatta, stated. On a rowing machine, this game makes time fly by more quickly than any other exercise program he has ever tried.
Endeavor combines elements from strategy games and turn-based action gameplay, whereas many of the company's early games were inspired by traditional 2D scrolling and time based games. This strategy expands on findings from Ergatta's 2024 release, "Wavelength," which showed that autonomy is essential to enjoying a workout.
The new game is available on the Ergatta Luxe and Ergatta Lite rowers as well as compatible tablet setups, such as the Concept2 Connection Kit and the WaterRower Upgrade Package, and comes with a membership.
