Aon Appoints Industry Veteran Ben Jones as New APAC COO

To improve the company's operations, spur regional growth, and provide outstanding client experiences, Ben Jones, a seasoned insurance and operations leader with 35 years of international experience, joins Aon as APAC COO.

Ben Jones, a Singapore-based insurance and reinsurance broker, has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Asia Pacific (APAC) at Aon, effective December 8, 2025. In his new position, Jones will collaborate with the broker's regional and international teams to improve its operating model, foster expansion, and provide top-notch client and colleague experiences locally.

Jones began his career in 1991 as a Manager for Banking Consulting, Insolvency & Receivership Crowe at Horwath International in Sydney, giving him approximately 35 years of knowledge in the field. He then held a number of executive roles at HIH Insurance, including Treasury Accounting Manager, Director of Financial Institutions, Business Integration Leader for M&A, and Internal Audit Manager.

Before his most recent position as Chief Transformation and Operations Officer at Manulife, Jones briefly served as the Country Chief Transformation Officer at Allianz Ayudhya in Bangkok. He has previously served as IAG's Head of Transitions and Operational Partnering and Allianz Insurance's Regional Head of Operations, APAC.

Jones also worked for AIG for more than seven years, holding positions as Regional Manager, Operations & Systems for Australasia, Regional Vice President of Operations for APAC, and Regional Operations Executive of Commercial Insurance, APAC.

In addition, he has held several positions at Allianz Group for more than five years, including General Manager, Operations, Manager Strategy & Business Development, Consultant on SME Insurance and Business Reengineering, and Senior Manager for Business Improvements at Westfield.

According to the broker, Ben is prepared to offer new concepts and creative solutions to assist their clients in making better selections because of his extensive experience in operational leadership and transformation.
