AI and GPS Drive Safer Chennai City - BusinessFortune

Chennai uses real time vehicle and public area tracking systems with AI, IoT, and improved monitor to enhance urban safety.

KS Smart Solutions, based in Chennai, provides across city monitoring and incident management system uses AI, IoT, and advanced monitoring systems. The company recognized a control center that links high-resolution cameras, mobile command units, drones, and GPS-based tracking devices. Monitoring transport centers and significant open areas in real time in Chennai's strategy creates a safer and more accountable city by combining technology and human error. Public regions are monitored by over 80 fixed cameras and 50 mobile ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) devices.

According to A. S. Keshav, CEO of KS Smart Solutions, the idea is to use technology to build safer areas without being intrusive. AI helps identify trends and potential challenges so the city authorities can take proactive rather than reactive action.

The city's protective measures are now more effective and combined. When combined with the Anti-Vehicle Lifting System (AVLS), the GPS-based vehicle tracking system strengthens dispatch coordination and implementation. A web based Integrated Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) is linked to these enabling it to track suspicious or stolen vehicles and alert police units for immediate action.

The new monitoring systems, which provide real time vehicle tracking and monitoring, have enhanced the sense of security for people living in the city, making travel safer. From now on, the system will be linked with green monitoring, quick response, and urban scheduling. If successful, the Chennai Mega City strategy could become a standard for how technology and human oversight work together to build safer cities across India.
