Business Fortune: MDD Expands in Taiwan

MDD launches a branch in Taiwan as part of its Asia-Pacific development to meet the growing need for forensic and litigation services in the region.

MDD, an international forensic consulting firm, launched its eighth office in the Taiwan Asia-Pacific region. It focuses on forensic accounting and economic damage quantification. It works on challenging claims and litigation issues with insurers, legal firms, and corporations as part of Davies.

According to Paul McGowan, CEO of MDD, the launch of our Taiwan branch is an exciting milestone to increase their forensic presence across the Asia Pacific. They can now provide locally informed solutions supported by worldwide capabilities due to their new presence. McGowan also added that such a strategic act is a reaction to the Taiwanese insurance and litigation clients' increasing demand and is motivated by the country's growing claims activity.

The firm's current locations in Bangkok (Thailand), Hong Kong (Greater China), Seoul (South Korea), Singapore, and Tokyo (Japan) are supported by the new branch in Taipei. Also, MDD maintains two Asia Pacific offices in Sydney, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand.

Rachel Cai, who entered MDD in 2018 and was appointed Director of the Taiwan firm, is in charge of the venture. Cai is an expert in handling difficult claims related to major loss incidents and event responses and estimating economic losses.

MDD is one of the largest pure-play consultancies in the world. The firm has branches in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Their new branch will improve the ability to collaborate more closely with clients and offer quick, excellent support personalized to the region as the need for legal expertise continues to increase.
