Business Fortune- M&S £340M Food Supply Chain

Marks & Spencer and TMX Transform to bring dynamic shift in the food supply chain management consultancy.

In a recently held press meet Marks & Spencer (M&S), one of British’s leading multinational retailers has stated that the company is all-set to launch a £340 Million Food Supply Chain Management Consultancy, which predominantly specializes in selling clothing, home products and food products, mostly of its own label. The company has frequently stood out for its customer service and offering of premium products,  even in the lockdown period.

Amid the recent supply chain challenges and increasing geopolitical tensions in 2025, the historic store has decided to bring back its services by further revamping its management consultancy and supply chain.  It is reported that this will include the development of one of the UK’s largest automated National Distribution Centres (NDC).

The new firm is said to be built in an enormous 1.3 million square-foot NDC at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT, which is currently the largest ever investment in M&S supply chain to support growth ambitions. The £340 million facility will play a pivotal roles as M&S’s primary food distribution hub, which will contribute to supplying over 200 stores and two additional regional distribution centres (RDCs), covering even more stores across the UK.

M&S has sought additional external expertise to ensure that this mega project will be a great success. Global supply chain consultancy TMX Transform has joined forces with M&S on the project, and will be leveraging TMX Transform’s experience in large-scale automated distribution solutions, which indeed will help in successful implementations for other global retailers.
