Business Fortune: Tanla, Indosat Fight Spam with AI

Tanla and Indosat deploy Wisely.ai to combat spam and scams in Indonesia, using AI-driven real-time threat detection across SMS, Voice, and VoIP.

Tanla Platforms and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (IOH) have teamed up to launch Wisely.ai, an AI-powered anti-spam and anti-scam solution designed to shield Indosat customers in Indonesia from unsolicited and fraudulent messages. Customers of Indonesian Indosat would be shielded against spam and fraudulent messages by this multi-year arrangement.

Tanla aligns with its vision to empower Indonesia and ensure that the power of AI is accessible to all, and hence, the strategic combination with Indosat to ensure customers is safeguarded against the emerging threats of digital fraud. The strategic alliance makes an important turning point in the international growth of Tanla as it is moving its Indian market-hardened AI capability to Southeast Asia as a subscription-based SaaS model that delivers calculable business advantages.

The three levels of Wisely.ai—Data, Infrastructure and Network, Core AI Engines, and Applications—are what make it a scalable AI-native platform. The Data, Infrastructure, and Network layer completely complies with local data sovereignty and regulatory standards while processing enormous volumes of real-time Big Data on the critical path with millisecond latency.

Built on the newest Nvidia GPU infrastructure, the Core AI Engines layer makes use of both traditional Machine Learning and Gen AI models. Building upon the two layers, the Applications layer provides a range of applications for enterprises, telcos, and mobile customers. One such application is the anti-spam and anti-scam solution, which is implemented on Wisley.ai in a telco environment. It allows for real-time threat identification for both application-to-person and person-to-person interactions over SMS, voice, and VoIP channels.
