Business Fortune: Microsoft Copilot 3D Launch

Microsoft introduces Copilot 3D, a new AI-powered tool that converts 2D images into 3D models in seconds.

Microsoft has revealed another AI-powered tool that can convert standard 2D pictures into 3D models, one day after launching the GPT-5-powered Smart Mode in Copilot. The IT behemoth claims that Copilot 3D is made to make 3D creations quick, easy, and understandable.

Copilot 3D, a component of Copilot Labs, is incredibly useful if you want to test a concept, explore new ideas, or direct hands-on learning without the complexity and inconvenience of traditional 3D tools. A small number of users can presently utilize the service for free, but doing so requires logging in with a Google or Microsoft account.

Microsoft advises users to test the feature on a desktop computer because attempting to utilize it from a mobile browser may cause problems. To utilize Copilot 3D, just navigate to Copilot.com using your preferred browser and select the option in the sidebar that shows up in the upper left corner of the window. Click on Labs, and then choose the "Try now" button under the Copilot 3D option.

According to Microsoft, the pictures you wish to turn into 3D models should have a distinct backdrop or background-subject distinction. All of the 3D models produced by Copilot 3D are compatible with the majority of 3D viewers, tools, and engines because they are saved in GLB format and may be exported to an augmented reality app. These 3D models are accessible from the My Creations tab and are stored for 28 days.
