Business Fortune: Kochadai’s AI MakeGPT Launch

MakeGPT, launched at IIT Madras, developed by Kochadai Technology Solutions helps users build IoT systems using simple language.

Due to our socio-political-economic structure, the need for specialists in various disciplines will persist, regardless of the degree of automation attained, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister for IT and Digital Services, stated on Friday.

Speaking at the IIT Madras Research Park to launch MakeGPT, an AI-powered platform that allows the development of IoT systems using natural language prompts, Mr. Thiaga Rajan stated that while automation handles execution, societal constructs such as responsibility, ethics, compliance, and validation will continue to change and necessitate a specific number of system personnel.

For instance, he noted that a certified radiologist would still need to approve the final diagnosis when utilizing AI-based diagnostic devices. When discussing the concept, he stated that it should be a democratizing technology that puts students studying the arts and sciences on level as engineering students in terms of product creation.

Kochadai Technology Solutions, a start-up based in the IIT Madras Research Park, created MakeGPT, a tool that lets users explain their project ideas in simple terms and automatically creates fully functional IoT solutions.

The company has also shown a kit with 60 parts, including sensors, communication tools, and actuators, which will be offered for sale to anyone who is interested, according to Nanu Swamy, founder and CEO of Kochadai Technology Solutions. Following receipt of the prompt, the product would produce the entire solution, after which the prototype would be 3D printed at the company's location or by outside vendors.
