MRI AI Tools Transform Property Mgmt

MRI Software Introduces AI-powered property management tools and Piñata partnership, enhancing efficiency, tenant engagement, and decision-making at Apartmentalize conference.

MRI Software, a global supplier of real estate technology, unveiled a suite of new AI-powered property management features at Apartmentalize, powered by NAA, the National Apartment Association's annual conference that draws thousands of rental housing professionals.

With a strong emphasis on real-world value and minimal learning curves, the PropTech company showcased user-friendly technologies intended to increase productivity and simplify making decisions for multifamily property teams. The objective, according to Eric Walsh, executive vice president and managing director of North America at MRI Software, is to enable industry leaders to apply AI right away. 88% of the NMHC Top 50 property managers are customers of MRI.

One of the notable innovations is Ask Agora for Page Assistance, an in-page AI assistant that offers contextual recommendations and insights while users work rather than via a separate interface. Agora Actions, an AI agent designed to reduce the time and effort accounting teams spend closing the books, is another for month-end reconciliation within MRI Property Management X (PMX).

At the occasion, MRI announced a major partnership with Piñata, a platform that builds credit and offers renter benefits. Through the integration, Piñata awards will be immediately integrated into MRI's RentPayment suite, providing property managers with an additional tool to promote engagement and retention while providing tenants with concrete perks for timely payments.

During the conference, MRI executives participated in a number of industry discussions. At Podcast Palooza, Walsh moderated a discussion about how AI affects multifamily operations. Other business executives discussed issues like community manager sentiment and combating fraud in the age of artificial intelligence. At the event, 33 exhibitors from a wide network of partners joined MRI, demonstrating a variety of complementary solutions.

Apartmentalize takes place in Las Vegas from June 11 to 13. Participants proceeded to interact with MRI's staff and learn about the company's growing toolkit, which has been customized to the rapidly evolving multifamily market.
