Marketing veteran joins to strengthen international presence and unify brand communications globally.
Parisian fashion label Isabel Marant has appointed Sophie Condroyer as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), part of a strategic restructuring of its marketing and communication team to boost the brand's global marketing capabilities in the face of a tough market scenario. Sophie Condroyer comes with a wealth of experience from the high-end fashion sector, having worked as CMO at Chloé since 2018. At Chloé, she created the marketing office within the communication department, handling social networks, press office, and strategic planning. The appointment of Condroyer is a testament to Isabel Marant's need to have a more international and integrated approach to its marketing and communications strategy.
Condroyer's education includes a law degree as well as a graduation from the elite ESSEC Business School. She started working with the LVMH group at Louis Vuitton in 2009, where she progressed to direct global digital communication by 2012. She worked at Kering's Saint Laurent in 2016, handling media relations, marketing, and digital communication before moving to Chloé. Reporting to CEO Anouck Duranteau-Loeper, Condroyer will be responsible for Isabel Marant's global marketing and communications strategies. This move is as the company strives to enhance visibility and market presence while still nurturing its distinctive character.
Alongside Condroyer's hiring, Isabel Marant also promoted Jean-Philippe Abautret from Director of Communication to Senior Vice President of Global Communication. Abautret began working for the brand in 2020 and has more than eight years of experience at communications agency KCD, where he represented Isabel Marant's account. In his new role, he will oversee communication strategies, media and celebrity relations, influencers, events, and creative talent management. Duranteau-Loeper stated, "Sophie's hiring and Jean-Philippe's promotion underscore our focus on developing our communication strategy at this inflection point of expansion, building Isabel Marant's international visibility while remaining faithful to our DNA."
