Elliott Findlay becomes Grant Thornton US COO, bringing 25 years of global advisory experience.
Elliott Findlay has been named the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Grant Thornton US, with effect from June 2025. His rise coincides with the company's ongoing efforts to fortify its executive team and broaden its global reach. With 25 years of experience with Grant Thornton, Findlay is based at the company's Chicago headquarters. Prior to joining the US division, he spent five years working for Grant Thornton UK where he started his career. He has held several high leadership positions over the years with most recently as the national managing principal of transaction advisory services.
For his work advising public and private corporations on capital raising, divestitures, recapitalizations mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Findlay has established a solid reputation. He is qualified to assist the company's operational expansion due to his broad expertise in both domestic and foreign markets. He graduated from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland with bachelor's degrees in marketing and electronic engineering.

After purchasing the company in 2024, New Mountain Capital started creating a new global platform. Member companies from Ireland, the United Arab Emirates, Luxembourg, the Cayman Islands and the Netherlands are recent additions. Today, the company employs over 13,000 people across the globe. In his capacity as COO, Findlay will be instrumental in fostering this ongoing expansion and regional operational excellence.
