Finance and accounting firm 8020 Consulting opens its first office outside California in Dallas, led by local industry veteran Luke Mattorano, to grow the firm’s presence in North Texas.

Luke Mattorano, a seasoned local financial professional, has been appointed managing director of 8020 Consulting, a Woodland Hills, California-based firm that has launched its first office outside of the Golden State in Dallas.

The accounting and finance consulting firm is embarking on a new chapter with this change. The expansion is a component of 8020's objective to strengthen ties with its clients, consultants, and the communities in which they operate, according to CEO Kellen Smith.

Smith called Mattorano a "natural team builder" and said his combination of local connections and industry knowledge makes him a good fit to lead the company's local expansion. Luke is well-positioned to lead the market due to his established connections in the region and his strong background in technology, finance, and accounting, Smith said in a statement.

As Luke expands the company's footprint in the area, they can't wait to see his accomplishments. According to the firm, Mattorano will concentrate on developing customer relationships, expanding the consultant base, and collaborating with regional industry associations in order to establish 8020's brand in North Texas.

In sectors like healthcare, employment, retail, manufacturing, and consumer goods, Mattorano has over 20 years of expertise assisting businesses in increasing corporate value and operational performance. At companies like Arthur Andersen and KPMG, he has had positions as a CFO and in transaction advisory, in addition to his job as an operator.
