Business Fortune-ACME Solar Hits 300 MW in Rajasthan, 50 MW in Gujarat

ACME Solar Holdings has fully commissioned its 300 MW Sikar Solar Project in Rajasthan, boosting its operational renewable energy capacity to 2,890 MW.

Located in Bikaner, the project is expected to generate 780 million units of renewable energy annually. ACME also marked its wind energy debut with a 50 MW project in Gujarat, executed by its in-house EPC team. ACME Solar Holdings has fully commissioned its 300 MW Sikar Solar Project in Rajasthan, the company announced on Tuesday. With this, ACME's operational renewable energy capacity now stands at 2,890 MW.

ACME Solar Holdings now has a total renewable energy portfolio of 6,970 MW, including solar, wind, firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE), and hybrid projects. Of this, 4,080 MW is currently under development.

The project, spread across 1,300 acres in Bikaner, one of India's highest solar irradiation zones, is connected to the Bikaner II substation at 220 kV and is expected to generate around 780 million units (MUs) of renewable energy annually.

Allocated under the SECI-ISTS XVIII scheme, the project has a tariff of Rs 3.05 per unit, as adopted by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is expected to be signed soon.

In the same quarter, ACME also commissioned its first wind energy project, 50 MW in Shapar, Gujarat. The final 3.3 MW turbine was activated on Monday.

The project, located in a high wind potential zone, has a 25-year PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).

The company noted that the project was executed entirely through its in-house EPC team, underlining its diversification into wind energy and strengthening technical capabilities.
