Netherlands Explores AI Health Tech from India & Karnataka

Dutch Vice Minister Barbara Goezinne explores AI health tech from India and Karnataka for potential deployment in the Netherlands.

A delegation from the Netherlands, headed by Barbara Goezinne, its vice minister of health and curative care, has indicated an interest in implementing a few sophisticated AI health technologies from Karnataka and India in the Netherlands.

Ms. Goezinne stated that they are dedicated to collaborating in the field of medical technology, specifically in the creation of creative, labor-saving medical solutions to support all healthcare professionals, during her meeting with Minister of Health and Family Welfare Dinesh Gundu Rao on Thursday, March 28, 2025, at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP).

The Dutch delegation had specifically shown interest in labor-saving healthcare technology, pharmaceutical breakthroughs that use AI in drug development and discovery, remote monitoring, and telehealth-related solutions as a screening approach for medical triage, according to C-CAMP.

It further stated that as part of a bilateral collaboration between the Dutch government and its counterpart, discussions also focused on bringing the public health system in the Netherlands into line with the State government through a concerted effort like an Innovation Bridge anchored by C-CAMP.

Ms. Goezinne engaged directly with inventors during an innovation walkthrough of a few C-CAMP digital health solutions.

The comprehensive maternal and fetal health monitoring system, AI-powered tuberculosis care, AI-powered early detection of lung cancer, telemetric, tele ECG, and vitals monitoring system with auto interpretation, and point-of-care diagnostic solutions for infectious and non-communicable diseases are just a few of the digital health innovations developed by C-CAMP.
