On Wednesday, Oracle NetSuite inaugurated its first data centers in India, which are situated in the Oracle Cloud Hyderabad and Mumbai regions.
According to the firm, the expansion aims to enhance Oracle's worldwide data center presence while satisfying the increasing demand from Indian enterprises. All new NetSuite clients in India will be provided through these local data centers as a result of the change. Over the next few months, it is anticipated that current clients will be moved.
Oracle's cloud-based business ERP branch, NetSuite, serves businesses with annual revenue of up to $250 million. They want to launch it before the end of the fiscal year, which is before May 31, 2025, according to Amit Suxena, Head of Asia at Oracle NetSuite Global Business Unit, who spoke to BW Businessworld.
According to Oracle, the construction of these data centers in the nation will be crucial in assisting Indian-based companies in adhering to local data residency laws by lowering cross-border data transfers, serving India's market potential, and fostering the development of its startup ecosystem.
This possibility, together with India's rapid GDP development and its leadership in the services sector, which Suxena estimates accounts for 50% of the country's GDP, made it the ideal place for the company to increase its investments. Additionally, he reaffirmed NetSuite's solid position in catering to a wide range of service-based businesses in India, including clubs, accountancy and, law services.
