Cisco & Rockwell Launch AI-Powered Manufacturing Solutions

The curriculum will incorporate instruction in several areas, including programming, automation technologies, data science, AI, networking, cyber-security, and the Internet of Things.

To strengthen their strategic alliance and introduce the "Digital Skills for Industry" initiative, Cisco and Rockwell Automation inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). By merging IT and OT curricula in the areas of cyber-security, networking, IoT, data science, AI, programming, and automation technologies, the program seeks to equip the next generation of workers with critical digital skills to address the widening skills gap in India's industrial industry.

The initiative seeks to increase labor productivity, recruit new talent, boost digital literacy in the sector, speed up career advancement, and close the global digital gap to meet the changing demands of the business.

Organizations are emphasizing staff upskilling while increasing their investments in operational technology. Cisco and Rockwell Automation signed an MOU in July 2024, promising to use social impact initiatives like the Cisco Networking Academy (NetAcad) to bridge the digital skills gap in manufacturing in the Asia-Pacific region.

By working with academic institutions and business partners, NetAcad has already trained over 2.2 million students in India. The workforce is being prepared for success in the occupations of the future via NetAcad's courses in cutting-edge technologies including networking, programming, and cyber-security.

Rockwell Automation provides solutions to assist clients upskill employees and academic institutions to teach students industry-relevant skills in recognition of the rising demand for a competent workforce in automation technology. Through a combination of instructor-led or virtual courses, these training solutions may be implemented with Rockwell Automation's assistance to assist businesses in addressing workforce issues and becoming ready for the future of smart manufacturing.
