The 10th biggest port district in the US, the Port of Lake Charles, Louisiana, has chosen NetSuite and Harbour Mastery to streamline its intricate multimodal, port, and terminal operations.
The Calcasieu Ship Channel, a 36-mile inland canal that stretches into the Gulf of Mexico and functions as a breakbulk, specialized, and project cargo gateway, is part of the Port of Lake Charles, a vital transportation hub that covers 203 square miles and is situated in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Often referred to as "America's Energy Corridor," the port is the world's leading center for the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and is strategically important to global industrial and energy operations.
The Port of Lake Charles will utilize the i-Seaports SuiteApp to improve business efficiency by fostering cooperation among port stakeholders, including administration, staff, clients, vendors, and partners, and gaining real-time insight across operations.
According to Harbour Mastery CEO George Walters, the company is pleased to support the Port of Lake Charles, a crucial part of the global energy and supply chain sector. By fusing Oracle NetSuite's integrated cloud business system with Harbour Mastery's maritime expertise and efficiency, the port will be able to reach new heights of productivity and innovation, laying the groundwork for a more intelligent and flexible future.
