Virtual Patching, a cutting-edge technology that improves SAP security by offering automated protection for unpatched SAP systems beginning on SAP Patch Day, was unveiled by SecurityBridge, the Cybersecurity Command Center for SAP.

SecurityBridge's Patch Management and Threat Detection components are integrated into Virtual Patching, a cross-platform solution. It provides smooth, real-time vulnerability protection by notifying SAP administrators when unpatched code is found. The solution lets administrators follow existing patch management procedures without sacrificing security by protecting impacted SAP systems until official updates are applied.

SecurityBridge's cross-functional innovation in Virtual Patching highlights the company's leadership in SAP security, according to Holger Hügel, Product Management Director. SAP systems are protected from the moment a vulnerability is revealed thanks to this fully automated method, which guarantees ongoing protection.

SecurityBridge's Virtual Patching has the following extra features:

  • Automated Threat Detection: Only affected SAP systems get alerts, guaranteeing pertinent and focused notifications.

  • Pre-configured Signatures: SecurityBridge eliminates the need for manual system upgrades by updating its Threat Detection signatures over the cloud.

  • Patch Day Protection: Whenever updated SAP SecurityNotes are published on Patch Tuesday, SAP systems are immediately protected against vulnerabilities.

Virtual patching is now included in the SecurityBridge Platform subscription, which makes it an essential solution for businesses trying to optimize their SAP security operations. Version 6.30 was released in early October 2024.
