NSE Bonus Exchange establishes official complimentary shares

As previously approved earlier this year, the NSE has set Saturday, November 2, 2024, as the official NSE bonus issue date issuance of shares.

The NSE board authorized the issuance of four extra shares in May of this year for each share that stockholders owned as of the official NSE bonus issue record date. At the moment, NSE is not listed on any exchanges.

In addition, the NSE announced in a statement that its share transfer books and membership register will be shut from October 4 to November 2 of this year. The NSE has stated clearly in its circular that during the book closure period, it will not be taking any fresh applications for the trading of company shares. The transfer applications that are reviewed further will only be those that have all required documentation received by the book closing, complete in every way, to conduct the sale of NSE bonus shares distributions via the corporate action form.

In a case involving the co-location facility that dates back to 2019, the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) tossed regulatory infringement allegations toward the NSE and seven it is current and former employees, including Chitra Ramkrishna and Ravi Narain, last week, citing a lack of sufficient evidence.

In an effort to advance its much anticipated initial public offering (IPO), NSE chose late last month to apply for a certificate of no objection (NOC) from the securities regulator.
