Microsoft Azure integration upgrades security for Redpanda cloud users

Azure Integration

Redpanda, a platform that unifies streaming data, is expanding its multi-cloud offerings for providing mission-critical data through a Microsoft Azure integration with its Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) service.

According to Redpanda, this restricted availability update satisfies user needs for more adaptable alternatives for data infrastructure.

With this release, Redpanda BYOC customers can now combine fully managed cluster scalability and support directly within Azure with simplicity and data sovereignty for their streaming data workloads. The company claims that users can more quickly construct real-time applications across several regions and availability zones by combining Azure's cloud environment with Redpanda's high-performance streaming technology.

Redpanda's founder and CEO, Gallego, stated that the company was always trying to meet its clients where they were.  He continued by saying that Redpanda Cloud's integration with Azure gives his customers greater freedom and options when it comes to connecting and streaming mission-critical data, which powers cutting-edge real-time and artificial intelligence applications. Redpanda's cloud footprint now includes Azure's advanced services in addition to AWS and Google Cloud Platform, thanks to this new connection.

Redpanda Cloud users who need to guarantee that traffic stays on Microsoft's private network can now benefit from additional security thanks to the expansion's support for Azure Private Link. Additionally, clusters are certified SOC 2 Type 2 and are supported round-the-clock by Redpanda. Additionally, users inherit Redpanda Enterprise's current support for Tiered Storage through the use of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure Blob Storage (ABS). Redpanda Connect, which was unveiled in May, offers open-source connectors to Azure services as part of this integration.

The connectors are available to customers at no cost, and they can be hosted in Azure alongside their Redpanda BYOC deployment.
