Verizon to Expand Private 5G Network Offerings

Verizon, an American telecommunications firm, has teamed up with Nokia to improve its Private 5G Network services.

Verizon announced its partnership to provide companies with high-performing, reliable, and secure private networks tailored to their specific needs.

Verizon now supports Nokia Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) in its private networks with licensed spectrum, after a successful certification process. Verizon says this innovation will expand the range of hardware and software options available to customers, improving indoor coverage for both business and consumer clients.

Verizon offers Private 5G Networks that are flexible options for on-premises use. These networks ensure that data traffic remains secure on-site and separate from general traffic. The corporation states that these networks offer better connectivity, reliability, faster speed, and the ability to grow to meet different business requirements.

Verizon said that Private Wireless Networks are important for businesses' digital transformation. Their commitment is to improve Private 5G Networks by developing new products and expanding technology, making them more valuable and efficient for clients.

Nokia is excited to expand its partnership in North America to include licensed spectrum implementations. They will use Nokia's DAC private wireless and digitalization platform to accelerate the growth of 5G and the Industry 4.0 transformation. This comes after many successful years working with Verizon on dedicated and unlicensed (CBRS) spectrum implementations in Europe and the US.

Enterprise customers will test the Nokia DAC platform at Verizon's labs after it's certified and added to the commercial lineup.
