The international engineering group Danfoss, based in Denmark, announced that, as part of the "RISE with SAP" initiative, they have chosen HPE GreenLake to facilitate the deployment of SAP S/4HANA Cloud in their data centers.

Danfoss needed a cost-effective IT solution to support their innovative business processes in their modular data centers. In pursuit of its sustainability goals, 'transformative growth' is meant to be supported by 'strong data protection, dependability, and sustainability.'

In 2016, Danfoss made the decision to update their IT system using the SAP S/4HANA suite of integrated business applications. SAP S/4HANA Cloud chose HPE GreenLake because it provides cloud benefits and allows them to run important SAP tasks in their own data centers at Danfoss. This proximity improves data control, lowers latency for quicker access and processing, and, for more sensitive data, boosts security.

Danfoss's chief information officer, Sune Baastrup, stated that the company will be able to optimize current data center operations while reducing energy usage and carbon emissions by utilizing HPE Greenlake for SAPS/4 HANA Cloud. According to Danfoss, the study demonstrates that the HPE GreenLake platform contributes to a 53% reduction in infrastructure energy use. Danfoss reduced its data center cooling needs by 50% using direct liquid cooling, thanks to a collaboration with HPE.
