EFTG will boast a dedicated team equipped to harness Ericsson's cutting-edge technology portfolio and investments
Ericsson has introduced Ericsson Federal Technologies Group (EFTG), a newly established entity aimed at spearheading 5G-powered digital transformation across various agencies within the U.S. federal government. Recognizing the crucial role of 5G in U.S. national and economic security, as well as its significance in defense modernization programs, Ericsson is committed to driving innovation and accelerating the adoption of commercial technologies within the U.S. Government (USG). Christopher Ling, with a wealth of experience in advancing federal and commercial businesses in advanced technology and cybersecurity, has been appointed to lead EFTG. Formerly serving at Booz Allen Hamilton, Ling brings nearly three decades of expertise to his role, having held various positions, including Executive Vice President and Group Lead of the National Security Business in the U.S.
The newly established organization is strategically positioned to provide advisory services to existing customers and USG entities, assisting in the design of robust, secure, and highly integrated networking solutions tailored to meet the demands of 5G networks. Ericsson's strategic partnerships with the National Science Foundation's Advanced Wireless Research Facility and the CTIA Cybersecurity Lab underscore its commitment to future innovation, scalability, and seamless integration with top-tier cybersecurity measures. These collaborations aim to ensure commercial speed in innovation, enterprise-wide scalability, and alignment with the highest cybersecurity standards.
