The self-care Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity and device management platform, "Vi Business IoT Smart Central," was introduced on Monday by Vodafone Idea's business division, Vi Business.

Revolt Motors, an electric two-wheeler (E2W) company, is among the top businesses from a variety of industries that have tested and implemented the platform for various use cases.

According to a statement from the company, the Vi Business IoT Smart Central platform gives businesses remote control, real-time monitoring, and management of IoT assets.

Vi Business IoT Smart Central gives businesses a complete picture of all IoT assets and lets them remotely monitor and control the SIM lifespan of any project, no matter how simple or complex, across a range of industries, including banking, utilities, automotive, and more.

It provides proactive alerts to prevent missing mission-critical issues and real-time diagnosis and remote troubleshooting for any IoT device installed in the system.

Some of the main unique features of the new IoT platform, according to Vi Business, are full-fledged dynamic billing and customized rate plans based on usage patterns using advanced analytics.

According to Satpathy, initiatives like the IoT Centre of Excellence (CoE) and programs like Made in India and Digital India will help increase the country's adoption of IoT.

Predictive maintenance functions in Vi Business IoT Smart Central minimize operational downtime, increasing productivity. Through the self-service features of the portal, customers can quickly file and monitor inquiries, requests, and complaints (QRCs), receiving a quicker response within 48 hours.
