Chowly, a delivery integration company has acquired Targetable, a provider of automated digital marketing solutions, the business said on Thursday.
Targetable, a supplier of automated digital marketing solutions was purchased by delivery integration company Chowly, the company said on Thursday.
The action is part of a plan to provide off-premises and digital channel solutions to small and medium-sized businesses in an effort to increase online ordering traffic.
The Chowly product suite, which assists brands in launching, managing, and optimizing their first-party ordering systems across channels in a single location, is expanded by this acquisition. To help with discoverability, Targetable creates multi-channel advertising campaigns for eateries.
Tens of thousands of restaurants will benefit from the combination of the two companies, according to a statement from Chowly Co-Founder and CEO Sterling Douglass, as it will increase sales without adding to the operational burden.
Additionally, according to the software business, restaurants will benefit from the integration by only needing to work with one provider instead of five or more.
This occurs as the restaurant technology industry continues to consolidate. Following the acquisition of the guest experience platform Koala in early 2023, which resulted in the introduction of Chowly Online Ordering, this is Chowly's second acquisition in around a year. This was introduced alongside two additional products: a restaurant control center and smart pricing.
The restaurant point-of-sale (POS) system used by Chowly, which is present in more than 17,000 locations across 3,000 brands, will incorporate technology from Targetable.
