Lionsgate announces the name of the new head of digital marketing

Formerly the president of worldwide digital marketing at Lionsgate's Motion Picture Group, Briana McElroy was a marketing professional at Twitter and Warner Bros.

Briana McElroy, a former marketing executive at Warner Bros. and Twitter, has joined Lionsgate as the president of global digital marketing for its Motion Picture Group.

Under the direction of JP Richards, and co-president Keri Moore, McElroy will work on a slate of films from Lionsgate that includes The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, John Wick: Chapter 4, the continuation of the Saw franchise, and a film about Michael Jackson directed by Antoine Fuqua, with production helmed by Graham King.

Previously, McElroy led digital marketing efforts for Warner Bros. Pictures' Wonder Woman, Kong: Skull Island, Ocean's 8, and A Star Is Born. She also held the position of client lead at Twitter.

Having worked with Briana for many years, Richards offered his perspective on the matter, stating that he has personally witnessed her passion, teamwork, and inventiveness in everything she does. He went on to say that she is a kind and compassionate person who uses that strength to engage people in genuinely original ways.

McElroy said she is thrilled to be joining such a bold, creative, and adventurous group of digital marketers and is looking forward to getting started right away on the most intriguing and promising film slate of the year after seeing how the digital team at Lionsgate has developed.
