A groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Turkish Airlines, the world’s largest airline by networks and Riyadh Air set to have its operations start in 2025.

Turkish Airlines and Riyadh Air inked a ground-breaking Memorandum of Understanding. With its operational start in 2025, Riyadh Air — which was founded in March 2023 — will be the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's second flag carrier.

The world's largest airline by network is Turkish Airlines.

This unexpected deal paves the way for more extensive future cooperation while ushering in a new age of improved travel experiences for passengers flying between Turkey and Saudi Arabia and beyond.

This agreement, which was signed by Tony Douglas, CEO of Riyadh Air, and Levent Konukcu, Chief Investment and Technology Officer of Turkish Airlines, at the esteemed ICAO Air Services Negotiation Event (ICAN2023) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, represents a major step toward extending airlines' global reach and providing more seamless travel options.

Passengers on both airlines will benefit from a thorough interline and codeshare arrangement under this cooperation, enabling seamless connections between Turkish Airlines' and Riyadh Air's networks.

The integration of the two loyalty systems, which allows members to accrue points or credits on codeshare flights run by either airline, is a crucial aspect of this partnership.

In order to provide its frequent fliers greater value, the airlines are also looking into the possibility of a larger loyalty program that would encompass both of their networks.
