Developing Minds, Transforming Lives: How Fawzya Khosti’s Executive Function Coach Is Redefining Support for Neurodiverse Individuals

Business Fortune

Many people, particularly those with ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, or brain injuries, struggle with poor attention, organization, time management, and social challenges in a world filled with distractions and high cognitive demands. Unfortunately, personalized and lasting solutions are often unavailable through traditional support systems.

This is where Fawzya Khosti, Executive Function Coach, LLC, comes in. Founded in 2016 by Fawzya Khosti, a trained hypnotherapist and educator, the organization believes that we are not born with executive functioning skills, but these skills can be learned and developed. By integrating psychology, hypnotherapy, and education, Fawzya Khosti offers one-on-one coaching for individuals aged 8 to 75. Fawzya Khosti is reinventing how executive functioning support is provided, utilizing tools such as MindPrint Assessment®, PEERS® training, and virtual coaching sessions.

In an exclusive interview with Business Fortune, Fawzya Khosti, founder of Fawzya Khosti, Executive Function Coach, LLC, discussed her background in education, psychology, and hypnotherapy. She creates tailored coaching programs for clients of all ages and has plans to use AI and media to better support neurodiverse individuals in achieving lasting success. Below is an excerpt from the interview.

Interview Highlights

What inspired you to start Executive Function Coach, LLC in 2016, and how did your background—teaching, curriculum design, hypnotherapy—shape your vision?

In 2016, I was looking for a different direction in my career. I started to research available executive functioning services and determined that it was an underserved area. I realized that my background in education, specifically curriculum design,

in conjunction with my background in psychology, gave me the skills to develop a curriculum and the ability to deliver focused coaching to help clients improve their executive functioning skills.

Hypnotherapy can be used to help reduce anxiety, and it allows clients to learn executive functioning skills more easily.

How does your expertise in psychology and curriculum development, as well as your status as a certified hypnotherapist (C.HT.) and Ed.D. candidate, specifically impact your coaching style?

When I work with a client, I consider the specific needs of each client, and therefore, I customize my sessions to their individual needs. I start with an objective assessment tool to determine the strength of each client’s EF skills. Next, I conduct a more subjective assessment to see how the client views their skill set, and last, I conduct an interview with the client. Once I review the client’s goals, I provide them with my recommendations.

Some of the most popular topics I address include:

  • Processing Speed

  • Memory

  • Attention

  • Focus

  • Flexibility in Thinking

  • Problem Solving

  • Organizing thoughts

  • Reducing Anxiety

  • Educational Support

  • Time Management

  • Organization

  • Social Skills

  • Hypnotherapy

To ensure my clients’ success, I focus on teaching for mastery and, most importantly, helping my clients meet their measure of success.

One distinctive feature of Fawzya Khosti, Executive Function Coach, LLC, is its highly customized approach. How can you guarantee uniformity in care and quality for every distinct client case?

Every one of my clients is unique, and therefore I must evaluate my clients’ needs, set individual goals, work toward those goals, and evaluate progress regularly to make sure clients are reaching their goals. I use many games in my coaching, some of which provide analytics to assess improvement objectively, allowing me to customize my work. However, clients will notice improvement as life is simply easier than it was before.

People with ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, mTBI, and other conditions are supported by your coaching, which covers ages 8 to 75. Why does your strategy work so well for such a broad audience?

My strategy works well for a broad audience because I can customize a plan for each client. When working with a middle school student who has a diagnosis of ADHD, I may focus on helping them improve their time management skills, organization, study skills, and social skills. For a young adult diagnosed with Anxiety and EF deficiencies, I may focus on reducing their anxiety and improving their processing speed, attention, problem-solving, and work on mindfulness, improving social skills, and provide hypnotherapy when appropriate. When working with a college student who is about to graduate, I may help them improve their time management skills, social skills, and help them prepare for work or graduate school. For an elderly adult diagnosed with a mTBI, I may focus on helping them regain all EF skills and reduce anxiety.

How do you ensure that tools like the MindPrint assessment and PEERS® social skills training are tailored to each client’s unique cognitive profile?

MindPrint is an objective cognitive assessment and is used to gather information. However, the PEERS® program can be more flexible. For example, if a client is not interested in dating, we can skip that section.

Your services are available both in-person and remotely. How has telecoaching expanded your reach, and has it changed how you deliver results?

Since the COVID pandemic, I have offered only remote meetings via Zoom. This change has proven to be more convenient for my clients as they can meet with me from the comfort of their own home.

You started Executive Function Magazine in 2022. What inspired you to pursue publishing, and what kinds of narratives do you hope to convey through it?

In 2022, I started 54 Media Group because my small business insurance said they could not insure Executive Function Magazine under my coaching business. Since then, the company has expanded. We offer app and website design and maintenance as well as graphic design.

Another significant turning point was the 2025 introduction of SAIL Podcasting. What is its purpose, and how does it fit in with your basic coaching principles?

We typically design, build, and manage apps and websites for others; however, in this case, we decided to build our own platform with the intention of offering a user-friendly app with unmatched customer support.

Looking ahead, which emerging trends in mental health, neurodiversity, or education do you believe will define the next 5 to 10 years, and how are you positioning your services or upcoming innovations to meet those evolving needs?

As AI evolves, it will transform our lives, much like the invention and evolution of the light bulb. Providers will more accurately diagnose and treat mental health and neurodiversity issues. And how we use AI to educate our students will shape how we perform jobs, and how we ultimately interact with each other. At 54 Media Group, we are using AI for a variety of customer service tasks.
