"AUDI" is the sub-brand of Audi that was developed in China in partnership with SAIC. The sub-brand showcased its engine capabilities and forthcoming cars with this E Concept.

In China, Audi and SAIC Motor have cooperated to create the unoriginal sub-brand "AUDI." The Ingolstadt-based automaker has unveiled a new electric sub-brand and the (again unimaginatively) unnamed "E Concept," an all-electric prototype. The talking point about this electric crossover is that it doesn't have Audi's recognizable "Four Rings" emblem, despite the fact that the E Concept has some outstanding stats and gives us a sneak peek at what to anticipate from the future models of this China-specific sub-brand.

The E Concept, which is based on the Advanced Digitized Platform, is 4,870 mm long, 1,990 mm wide, 1,460 mm tall, and has a 2,950 mm wheelbase. The E Concept's design is more akin to a station wagon than a true crossover, thanks to a recognizable fascia that was first seen on Lucid, another electric vehicle that was made in China.

The E Concept is almost ready for production thanks to its flat nose, sloping roofline, and squared-off taillamp trademark, which is reminiscent of a Range Rover. The layout of the cabin is also simple and modern. Instead of a traditional dashboard, there is a huge touchscreen panel that appears to be ready for production.

A claimed 0-100 kmph pace of 3.6 seconds is made possible by the combined output of two electric motors, which are rated at about 760 bhp and 800 n. According to its 800-volt design, the 100 kWh battery pack may provide 700kms range for driving (under CLTC cycle). More significantly, according to Audi, a quick 10-minute charge may extend the range by more than 370 kilometers.

The road-going E Concept will spearhead the model assault for Audi's sub-brand in China, thanks to its credentials that are almost ready for production. In the mid- and full-size sectors, three additional EVs are anticipated, with the first one perhaps coming as early as mid-2025.
