The Range Rover GT launch marks a significant milestone in Jaguar Land Rover’s electrification strategy as the luxury brand prepares to introduce its first battery-electric GT model. Built on the new Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA), the vehicle is currently undergoing final global validation tests ahead of its official debut later this year. EMA Platform to Power Future Electric Models

The launch introduces JLR’s EMA platform, which will also power upcoming compact electric models, including the next-generation electric Range Rover Velar. Larger electric models such as the Range Rover Electric and Range Rover Sport Electric will instead use the company's Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA).

JLR continues expanding its electric portfolio while keeping its motor options flexible. The company has confirmed that the EMA architecture supports hybrid technology, allowing future GT variants to include full-hybrid powertrains based on market demand.

Some of the launches such as Range Rover Electric, Range Rover Sport Electric, and Electric Velar were previously delayed to allow for additional testing and to respond to evolving market conditions.
