Lainey Wilson No.1 Hit Again New

The hit single from her Whirlwind (Deluxe) album earns Grammy nods and marks Broken Bow Records’ 50th chart-topper.

Lainey Wilson earns her ninth number one at country radio with Somewhere Over Laredo, the lead single off her Whirlwind (Deluxe) album. Two of Lainey's Grammy Award nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance are based on the top-selling hit which she performed at the 99th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. For her label Broken Bow Records, "Somewhere Over Laredo" counts as its 50th record to reach number one on the country radio charts.

Somewhere Over Laredo was released to overwhelming attention from fans and critics alike, garnering widespread praise from outlets like CBS Mornings, Rolling Stone and Billboard who named it one of her most commanding dynamic vocal performances to date, rising from a soft-focus tender vocal before gradually reaching into Wilson's higher range for powerful moments that heighten the song's emotional acuity.

Wilson's other number-one singles include "4x4xU," "Wildflowers and Wild Horses," "Watermelon Moonshine" and the two-time Platinum-certified "Heart Like a Truck." She recently performed sold-out performances at New York's Madison Square Garden and Nashville's Bridgestone Arena as part of her extended Whirlwind World travel which will continue till next year with dates in Australia and New Zealand.

Wilson will make her feature picture debut in next year's adaptation of Colleen Hoover's "Reminders of Him" after previously appearing in Paramount's popular television series "Yellowstone."
