FIFA $60 Tickets 2026 Cup World!

In response to soaring prices, FIFA introduces a new low-cost ticket category for loyal team supporters at every match, including the final.

FIFA announced on Tuesday that it had developed a new tier of tickets specifically for fans of the participating teams for each game, with prices capped at 60 dollars per ticket for every tournament match, including the final, in response to concerns regarding the excessive prices for the 2026 World Cup.

Each participating team will receive eight percent of the available tickets for every match they play, and the new pricing category will be included in the distribution of tickets by the associations. Ten percent of that eight percent allotment or 1.6 percent of all available tickets when accounting for both sets of supporters will go toward the new pricing tier, known as the entry tier. That amounts to somewhat over one hundred tickets each game at that price point, divided evenly among fans of both teams, given the size of the majority of probable 2026 World Cup stadiums.

According to FIFA's announcement, each member association (such as the US Soccer Federation in the US or the FA in England) will provide these tickets, much like the remaining eight percent of tickets available to team fans. FIFA did not provide any additional information but said that the associations are requested to ensure that these tickets are specifically given to loyal fans that have a network to their national teams.

The British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, advised FIFA to go further in reducing the ticket prices after the introduction of the $60 tickets. Also, Starmer said that he welcomed FIFA's announcement of some lower-priced supporter tickets.

The cost of tickets for the big event that the US, Mexico and Canada will co-host in next year has drawn criticism from all quarters since it first went on sale. FIFA's use of dynamic pricing has raised prices for those matches and those in the finals currently into the high hundreds or even thousands of dollars, with the fact that FIFA set a 60 dollar price floor for the cheapest tickets to group stage matches.
