The Solapur Division of the Central Railway has introduced new weekend special trains between Kalaburagi and Bengaluru Cantonment giving travelers some flexibility for further travel options. The Solapur Division stated that passenger services will be operational from late November to the end of December in its release.

The special trains will run six times in both directions stopping at key stations in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The new services are being introduced to ease congestion on ordinary route trains while better serving weekend travel to Bengaluru or Kalaburagi.

The special train will make stops at Yelahanka, Hindupur, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Guntakal, Adoni, Manthralayam Road, Raichur, Krishna, Yadgir and Shahabad, which are the main stations. The two Second Class Luggage-cum-Divyangjan coaches and 20 Sleeper Class coaches will make up the special train which will vary in size depending on the stop. The fares for the special trains will be similar to those charged for regular Indian Railways services.

All computerized reservation centers and the official website held by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will sell tickets on all routes sold subject to any additional fares being applied. You can buy tickets for the unreserved coaches at the station counters as well as through the UTS app. To minimize inconvenience to passengers officials also suggested that passengers make sure that they have a valid ticket when arriving at the station.

According to the Ministry of Railways cumulative loading this year has surpassed one billion tons reaching 1020 million tons (MT) as of November 19. In the meantime Indian Railways' freight performance continues to bolster India's economic foundation.
