Bangladesh cricket star Shakib Al Hasan faces a permanent national team ban during political fallout and public controversy.

Shakib Al Hasan, the large cricketer representing from Bangladesh will never play for the national team again, as specified by Asif Mahmud, the sports advisor of the country. Al Hasan has not played with the national team in a year. He was an Awami League member of parliament earlier last year from January until August when he was removed with the authority of students in a revolution of sorts. He has continued to play with franchise teams outside the country while living in the USA.

The advisor's statement followed Hasan’s social media post on Sunday greeting deposed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a happy birthday. According to Asif's Facebook post, many of them abused him a lot for not restoring one person. But he was right. End of the discussion. The two have been in conflict for a longer time, he didn’t mention Hasan’s name in that post.

After Hasan’s birthday wish to Hasina, the all-rounder hit back almost immediately that someone has finally acknowledged that he is the reason Hasan will never be able to wear the Bangladesh jersey again and he will never be able to play for Bangladesh. Hopefully one day he will go back to his homeland. As well, he adores Bangladesh, as Hasan posted on a digital platform.

Hasan stated that the Awami League had forced him to grant his candidacy for the 2024 general election. Hasan added that he had no involvement in politics. In order to serve the people of his community, Magura, however, he is deeply involved in the politics of the Awami League. Last year was Hasan’s latest Test match between Pakistan and India. The present is the first time a government official has made public the ban, even though he was really banned from playing international cricket during that time.
