Malaysia’s IGEM 2025 initiatives include ASEAN green leadership, aiming for RM5.5 billion in deals with 500 exhibitors and global climate collaboration.
The 2025 International Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM) aims to attract over 50,000 visitors, 500 exhibition booths, RM5.5 billion in business leads, and participation from 50 nations. The three-day green tech exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability with co-organization from the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation, opened on Oct 15.
In a statement, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii stated that IGEM highlighted Malaysia's leadership role as ASEAN Chair 2025. During its ASEAN chairmanship, Malaysia aims to transform sustainability and inclusion into growth and advancement for all. By bringing communities, innovators, and regional leaders to work together on workable solutions for the climate transition, IGEM reflects this ambition.
Huang, who officiated IGEM with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct 15, stated that it demonstrates that collaboration is the foundation of a just and resilient future for ASEAN. Along with several agreements of understanding and cooperative initiatives, IGEM 2025 will feature a series of significant programs highlighting ASEAN's leadership in green innovation and climate action.
The Third Energy Efficiency Forum, the Malaysia–Japan Environment Week, the Malaysia Carbon Market Forum, the ASEAN Circular Economy Forum, and the Seminar on Ozone to Climate are among the key events. Throughout IGEM 2025, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation will organize business matching sessions that will support investment opportunities and cross-border deals. IGEM, with 500 exhibitors in 2025, has united some of the leading figures in green technology.
