New leadership at Michelin to drive growth and innovation in Mexico and Central America.
Michelin, the global leader in tires, has named Faiez Pisal as the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Mexico and Central America. Pisal took up his new role on July 1, 2025, at the regional headquarters in Querétaro. The move underlines Michelin's commitment to maintaining its number one place as the leading tire brand in the Mexican and Central American markets.
Faiez Pisal joined Michelin in 2017 and possesses a track record of achievements. Before this appointment, he was the General Manager for Michelin's businesses in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar since 2022. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from Penn State University, which enables him to utilize analytical abilities to maximize intricate business operations and supply chains across various geographies.
Mexico and Central America are Michelin's growth areas. Its León factory in Guanajuato, which was opened in 2018 and expanded in 2022, is Michelin's most advanced factory. It has manufactured more than 15 million tires in six years and can increase production scale according to market demand. In addition, Michelin's Corporate Shared Services (CBS) Center in Querétaro plays a fundamental role in the regional support of financial, administrative, and IT services to the Americas, the United States, and Canada, as well as some European countries. This highlights Mexico's strategic location in the international operations of Michelin.
In the meantime, Matthieu Aubron, former CEO for the region, will stay with Michelin and take a new position as Head of the Urban Transportation Business Line for North America, with headquarters in Canada. Under the leadership of Faiez Pisal, Michelin is determined to sustain its robust growth and reinforce its leadership in Mexico and Central America's tire market.
