Ace and Enecell sign a 10-year deal to recycle lead and lithium batteries in Australia using zero-emission technology.

The Owens Group Pty Ltd, a prominent lead battery recycler with headquarters in Perth, Australia, and Ace Green Recycling, Inc., a leading supplier of sustainable battery recycling technology solutions, declared today that they have inked a partnership to increase Australia's sustainable battery recycling options.

A master off-take contract has been struck between Ace and Enecell as part of their cooperation, whereby Ace will resell any recovered lead material sold to Ace by Enecell from its battery-breaking disposal facility located in Perth, Australia. Ace intends to deliver the lead battery parts it bought from Enecell through its extensive global network.

The initial length of the offtake agreement is ten years, with the option to extend. More than 33 million pounds of intermediate recycled lead products can currently be processed at Enecell's Perth facility, and the master offtake agreement covers any future additions or changes to the facility, such as the ability to refine lead, cast, and alloys it, as well as process lithium batteries.

Ace's unique GREENLEAD recycling technology, which is entirely electric and emits no Scope 1 emissions, is also being explored by Ace and Enecell for potential integration into Enecell's facility. 

The firms are investigating the feasibility of using the Company's LithiumFirstTM technology, which can recycle lithium batteries commercially, at Enecell's facility in addition to recycling lead batteries. It is anticipated that Ace and Enecell's collaboration will make use of their combined resources and experience to build a strong recycling facility in Australia.
