With its lightning-fast reaction rates, cutting-edge cooling technology, and brilliant QD-OLED images, the 27-inch QHD display is made for competitive gamers.
Samsung unveiled the Odyssey OLED G6 on Sunday, the first OLED gaming display with a refresh rate of 500 Hz. As one of the most advanced gaming displays available, the 27-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) monitor is designed for competitive gamers who want very smooth images and quick reaction times. In the upcoming days, the monitor will be sold in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia for about $1,488. Other international markets will follow.
The G6 has a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution display, supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC, and has a gray-to-gray response time of 0.03 milliseconds. It makes use of Samsung's QD-OLED screen, which produces more accurate images by fusing OLED contrast with quantum dot color reproduction.
The metal frame of the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 has Core Lighting+ at the rear, which synchronizes with the information on screen. The stand may be tilted, swiveled, and raised or lowered. Along with two HDMI connectors, a USB-A port, a headphone jack, and DisplayPort 1.4, the screen has extremely thin bezels.
The monitor can reproduce more than 2,100 colors and 110 skin tones, has a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, is Pantone Validated, and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified. This guarantees consistent and vibrant results for content production as well as gaming. Samsung's OLED Safeguard+, which incorporates a dynamic cooling system and a pulsing heat pipe, addresses the common OLED burn-in problems. Compared to conventional cooling techniques, this is reportedly five times more effective. In order to avoid screen burn, the monitor also automatically dims static components.
