RCB supporters celebrated the legacy of their club and their new captain, Rajat Patidar, by lighting up Chinnaswamy Stadium at the Unbox event.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Unbox created an electric atmosphere inside Chinnaswamy Stadium, where the streets were decked by loyal fans in team jerseys waving flags. Even after 17 years of not winning an IPL, there was no sign of their passion or loyalty fading away.

Virat Kohli endorsed Rajat Patidar, as the new captain of the RCB. Kohli praised Patidar for having within him all the qualities of a brilliant player with a strong mentality who can lead teams. In turn, Patidar said he was delighted at being the captain of one of the biggest teams in T20 cricket, whose former players include Chris Gayle, AB de Villers, and Virat Kohli.

The event included friendly competitions like yorkers, high catches, and six-hitting contests within each squad. Romario Shepherd stole the show with an enormous blow that carried the ball across MG Road. The exercises belonged to Team Rajat, as they conquered Team Jitesh with a score of 5-1. Kohli also added funny banter with England's Phil Salt to keep the mood alive.

Apart from cricket, the celebrations also witnessed musical performances by Timmy Trumpet and Sanjith Hegde. It was time to unveil the squad on the big stage, and Kohli seemed to have got the loudest cheer from the crowd during his introduction. It was a special moment when this memento was given to Patidar as a mark of his captaincy appointment.
